Paul Lai at Hack Library School comes up with a terrific list of Tech Tools for LIS Students {Starter Kit}. These incude Online collaboration and presentation tools, Live communication and social media, and Library-oriented sites.
These are all great suggestions, and I found a few in this list that I haven’t used before. My favorite of the bunch is PBWorks. I highly recommend their wikis for private workspaces as well as shared web space that’s quick and easy to use. I’ve created numerous workshops and classes using PBWorks wikis such as this one for How to Create and Manage Your Online Presence.
